Hello everyone, It has been almost three weeks since I have been home and so far it has been rather stressful. my family and I are in the middle of moving and it has not been fun. At this time I will not be adding any photos because I am working on a slideshow. I have had many wonderful and very personal experiences. To quote a song I love "I've lost the friends that needed losing and made others on the way." I really have I have made friends that I will cherish forever. Some I consider family. I miss them and I pray to be able to see them soon. I am a changed man, and I hope that those who have been reading this blog theses last two years can see that. For those who are reading my blog that are members that have not gone on a mission, and still have the chance to go. I would exhort you to GO! I can honestly say that there was nothing else that could change me. Yes we go with the intent to help others but, in order to help others come unto Christ we our selves will have to go to Him. There is no other way it simply cannot be done. We cannot invite the children of God to come to Christ if we are not willing to go ourselves. I know that I may sound as if I am on a soap box but I have no intent of that I only wish to help you see that changes that I have made,the changes that have come over me. I know that my time in the service of the Lord and His children was not in vain. So I will simply invite you to decide for yourself if all this that I stand for is real or not. Eric Ziegler.

hello how are you? well this one will be short and I wont add any photo's for this last E-mail. any way I just wanted to let you all know that I love you and that I am looking forward to seeing you all soon. so there is not really any news other than I was able to see the torres and the meza family again and let me tell you time flies the meza girl is 2 now and I was there for her first birthday party. so needless to say I was surprised to see her. and the torres family is doing great. and I was planing on putting the photo's up my self so you will have to wait. oh I decided where I want to visit.I will let you know who when we come. so I will see you and speak to you soon. so how are things going I thought that I should let you know that I have been given an extension........ hahahahahaha I know that one would get you:) :D :P :b 3:D okay any way no I haven't gotten extended but I do want you to remember that I am still a missionary and yes for only a few more days. but don't remind me please!!! porque estoy bien cajuelado (yes I know that's not proper Spanish Diana.) so not much has happened this week other than a lady that we have been teaching has chosen to be baptized soon I wont say how soon I want that to be a surprise (I can feel your suspense) well I know have a photo for you (look to the attached photo) so this is the baptism last month on the 4th. so we have been working (see mom I'm not as lazy as I used to be) or am I??? we will see :D so yeah not much to report this week (had an appointment this morning all is good so far) Love you all and I will speak to you next week!!!!

The week has been well. we had some really awesome lessons these last few day's that the spirit was very strong and we are very happy. and there is not much to talk about this week but yeah. sorry that I wont be able to send you more in this e-mail I will work to have more for you next week!!!

Okay I finally sent photo's I have kept my promise. so now there are some thing's that have happened 1st. I have been working on a drawing of a hand and this hand is rather special it is of the savior and it quotes his in saying to this end came I into the world. and come unto me and feel the prints of the nails in my hands. I like it. okay so the scriptures quoted are John 18:37 and 3 Nephi 11:14 What do you think of it?

I have been seeing an increase of my faith, knowledge, and love for the Savior. it has been great these last few weeks just learning. and it has also been stressful just a lot of things hitting be each day. but it is worth the fight it really is. also about the other photo I attached can you guess what it is? well it is what I call the Ziegler Claddagh ring but yeah it is what I saw in a dream hope you like it.

how is everything going? things are going well. well on other news I am doing well we just had a stake conference and Elder Zwin and Elder Christensen were here to reorganize the presidency. they are powerful speakers. they gave us all a challenge to read chapter's three and six of preach my gospel in ten days and I would like to extend that to you all and I would ask you to send me some of your thoughts and impressions that you receive in that time. so that is one of the things that happened. Also on that side of pain Mariah you are not the only one who had a digit hurt on the mission I got my thumb hurt badly about three days ago and it in now starting to feel better still very sore though. Oh we started a new teaching method we have been using my superior art skills (haha) to depict various moments of the book of Mormon and today I'll be working on the the part of when Lehi finds the Liahona out side of his tent. I know that I have been promising photo's but I simply have not taken any. and I hope that this amount will satisfy those who will be reading. and this I say with Love Elder Ziegler.

I received my package!!!! and the work is going well. we just had two baptisms and I must tell you I was very happy. I will show photos in a few weeks hahahaha I know I don't have much time left and I won't tell how much time but yes the time is at hand. and well the work so far has been doing well we are still working hard and looking for the Lords children who are looking for the gospel in their lives. and well things are going well and then I will let you know how they went. and I will admit I have been getting frustrated a-lot and I should tell you that I am concerned about something Love Elder Ziegler

well many things are going well we are working hard and seeing many miracles in our area we are helping two of our fathers children work towards baptism soon. and they are loving the gospel. I just found out that some one I started teaching on the island got baptized in July!! I was very happy to hear that. I have been seeing how it is that I have changed in these two short years and it is remarkable to see who I was and then look at who I have become. my faith in our Lord has been strengthened so much and my love for others as-well. I am more comfortable to speak to others. and I have a better understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. so much has happened that I cannot say in words I only know that I have changed so much. and I love it. I am having a hard time right now I am having so many mixed feelings and I just don't know what to do about it. I want to go, I want to stay!! it is hard for me right now I bet Mariah should know how I feel. but so far every thing is okay I am still working hard and still chugging along. well that's about it for this week but I pray all is well and that you all may be strengthened as I have been. so this has been a good day and a great week we are teaching a few people and some of them have a date for baptism. and they are very excited. well things are going well and the up-coming months are looking well for the area and the ward. the lord really has blessed this mission and the people here in Canada. well not much has changed other than no I haven't gotten my package from you mom and dad but I got one from Diana..... Hermana Ziegler. I will send pictures next week of the card very funny and she gave me a pillow tie ha ha and it's purple. but yeah not much new right now. so things are good. I assume all is well and wait till the next week. so lets see I think that is about it for the things I have to write so until next week. Love Elder Ziegler

well today so-far is a good day. and things here are going well and we are working hard and we are looking for more people to teach and this is proving a little difficult but it is a good thing that we have to work hard this work was not meant to be easy. so how are things? I have not yet received the packages so you will have to wait at least another week. I will keep you updated. any way not really any new experiences. Oh, we do have one it was interesting we come home one night and a fellow just gets in our car and after seeing us gets out and walks away. it was interesting and a little funny. there are not many things new but a few things here and there. I am sorry that this is not as long as we all would like but I don't have much to talk about. so until next week with my love Elder Ziegler

How are things?? things for me are going well and I am loving my mission more and more. the members are great and we are teaching a few people that I can see that the Lord has prepared them. There are many things going on right now that I can't remember them right now. However I will include one experience. We started teaching a family and the Mother and Child are rather interested. the second lesson that we had with them the Child started crying at the end and the way they could describe that they were feeling was "happiness" and the Spirit was very strong it was wonderful. it was one of many times so far on my mission. and now let me tell you that I love you. okay now about something that I learned at conference I heard alot about having a change of vision and have the power of the atonement help you over come the dark clouds that blind your spiritual eyes... it was just an amazing conference this year. and I look forward to next year!!!! well at least to the Ensign. and so untill next week and with Love Elder Ziegler.

so this has been an eventful week I am now the new Spanish District leader and I am still in Vancouver and I am still with Elder Rivera this will be 6 transfers in the Vancouver Spanish area. Winter is coming! time to get the wool socks out :) any way yes the weather is getting colder and the leaves are falling. Many things here are looking good the trees are reds, yellows, and greens and the peak of the mountains are starting to turn white so yes the winter is on it's way. well I have finally accepted that I will not be here much longer no matter how much I would love to stay. As we all know that there is a time and a season to all things. and to adopt the great words of J.R.Tolkien for me wanting to stay. "So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide, all they have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to them!" and we learn from the Book of Mormon that this life is a time given to man that they may repent and receive the gospel. so all I have to do is decide how I will use this time left, that I have in-order to help my brothers and sisters learn of and accept the gospel. I am doing well although I have been stressed out but things are getting better. I love you all and I will talk to you next week.

how are things going? things are doing very well here in the Canada Vancouver mission and I am doing well too. things are good I am learning a-lot still and understanding more the gospel and how to live it, it is great!! So how is the work going? very well we are teaching a wonderful family and they are just loving the gospel and wanting to get baptized.... OH Gabriel and Nancy called me yesterday it has been over a year and a half since I have seen them. I can only imagine how big their kids are now. Birthday like's or need's? two White Shirts, Long sleeve. cards from my favorite nieces and nephews (children of my sisters) and..... that's it nothing else I don't want anything else. You can't believe that 2 years has gone by so fast. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT IT HAS!!!! President Tilleman told me the same thing! "Make every Moment count." but he told me to get trunky but in a certain way. now how are things there? that is so cool that Donny recived the priesthood. I had been thinking about him a-lot. any way I was also thinking about my mothers cooking and what I want to eat first... So many good thing hard to chose but I think that I have settled on chicken rolls mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm soooooo gooooood! so yeah thats how things are right now I love you all and with that Love I say "until next week!!!"

well this has been a great week. we have been working hard and we have not had much time to rest.

now I will let you know that I have been doing well and I have been learning a-lot about how I can keep growing and come closer to my savior. I have been reading in Jesus the Christ and there is just so much that I never knew and I have started to read the new testament with a greater understanding of the events that are happening. and so there are many things that I have been learning but not much has been happening and so my e-mails have been short. but I have been coming to understand who I am and who I can become.

I am loving my mission more than ever.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello this has been an interesting week I have been working hard and I
have been losing weight it has been fun. Today one of the Elders
that we were with said "you might get sent to surrey!" I must admit I
got scared because I know that I would get big again and that, to be
honest is the last thing that I want.

well any way I have been thinking a-lot about how to develop more faith and I have been lead time and time again to one key thing and that is the Christ like
attribute of knowledge. so I think that in-order to develop more
faith I need to obtain more knowledge of my savior. now that to me was
an interesting thing because our Zone has been focusing mostly on
having perfect faith, doubting nothing. so it has been great I have had
that additional push to develop it.

so more about my life so far... I got the package and well I can't
send a photo of me opening it, it didn't last long about the only
thing left is the almonds I am saving those. well I must let you know
that I bought a new watch and no not because my other is broken I
still have it in working condition but I liked the watch that I
bought. so I now have two watches. that is more than I can remember
ever owning at one time.

we life is life and I am trying to make every
day the best ever so yeah I am loving it so much.

So this week has been a good one. we have been working hard to find new investigators because President Tilleman gave us a challenge to find 5 so we got to work with only 4days left we had to work hard and for a little bit we thought that we wouldn't reach it but at the end of the week we did and now ElderRivera and I are very excited to make it the standard for the area so that we can help the area and the ward grow.

Well on other news we are teaching a family and they are awesome we only had a few lessons with them and I already love them so much it is great to see how they are loving the Gospel and applying it to their lives it truly is wonderful.

Also this last week has been full of service we have been helping people move and it was one after another and day after day... I was tired so I think needless to say I slept well. but other than that not much has been happening.

The weather is cooling down and the summer is slowly turning into fall and I can just smell the winter rains in the air.

I have been reading a lot from Jesus The Christ and it has been wonderful I have learned so much that I wish I had read it a long time ago.

okay so when I heard about uncle Jim I simply was pondering a-lot about how I could help and I felt it hard to say much on the subject. for the only words of comfort I know of are that the Lord has revieled that it is all apart of his Plan. I am glad to hear that uncle Jim has passed. it is good to think that he has gone to a place where mortal pain is non existent.

now I would like to tell you about my week. well we have been able to work closely with the members and have found a few less actives and helped them feel the love of our father. so we have been working hard and walking a-lot I have started liking using public transit you are able to meet so-many people that way. and I have been able to open up a-lot more. now I don't have much time so I have to get going.

So how goes the March of Heavenly Fathers work? well the work goes well.

I tried many times to check my balance here but I can't the machines here don't have that option.
and I know it was a few months late but I decided to send it anyway I wanted to send it in time for feb.14 but as you can guess I forgot. any way that was funny you have to admit.

so the work as I said goes well we have been seeing miracles and they have been coming fast and we have had to work hard to keep up. now this has become a subject that I don't like talking about but I only have a few months left and so you may be getting a letter or call about travel info and stuff. any way I am loving my mission more and more every day and I keep learning more about my savior and I love him even more every day. I have been reading the book Jesus the Christ and it is awesome I have learned so much and it is great. so things are well here.

so I have no idea about the scholarship stuff so if you could take care of that for right now that would be great.

hello every one I am doing well this fine sunny day in Vancouver b.c

any way it has been a great week we have been working hard so that we can start getting things going in our area. it has been slow in the work but we are not losing heart. because when we lose heart the Lord cannot bless us for our efforts. How goes the battle? well as I said we are out there every day working hard and helping others come back to the Father. How is the big City? Things in the city are doing great I have been learning so much and to be honest I am used to living here now and I might just be even more used to it by the time you see me. but I promise that I wont bore you with the little details. So is there anything either of you need? I would like an update of the family photo's.

other events that are going on. well not much has been going on other than me learning how I need to do better and how I can keep on doing well. so I know that these have been short as of late but I have a lot on my mind.

Yesterday was a holiday and so I was not able to e-mail. and so a few things that are new (1) we have a an investigator that is preparing to be baptized on the 18 he was taught for a wile before and now he wants to make that covenant with our father in heaven. (2) we are now going to use public transit and car we have a very limited mileage allotment and so we will be working twice as hard.... I Like!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (3)?????? well I'll let you know if there is anything else. but the week has been sweet. we are learning so much I have really expanded in my knowledge about the gospel. a return missionary said " I wish I knew how to studdy when I started my mission because I am only scratching the surface of the knowledge I can have" and that is so true for me too. well sorry that this is short but I weill lett you know of anything else.
